From the founder

Mastering prestige in the service of building

Krapted was born from a simple conviction: the most demanding clients deserve support that matches their ambitions. I have always been drawn to the art of building, transforming a tangible place and the experience of those who live in it. My path has taken me from the field, where I learned the discipline of the construction site, to strategy and M&A alongside major groups and Private Equity funds, where I learned how to structure a vision for complex projects. Krapted was created from this dual experience: a single point of contact, able to centralise all the trades involved in a project, without ever compromising on execution quality. Every project is managed with the same high standards and the same level of commitment, from the first conversation through to handover. This is the promise I uphold for our clients in France and internationally.

Charles Morio

Founder & CEO

Three roots for a single name.

Krapted echoes “Crafted”, craftsmanship and the spirit of making. The name conveys its purpose: precise, transparent know-how.

KRA

from Kran, elegance and prestige in Breton

PT

from Ptah, the Egyptian god of construction, architecture and craftsmanship

ED

from edificium, Latin for building, extended with an Anglo-Saxon sound for a team oriented towards international projects

The order of the roots expresses the direction of Krapted’s mission: from a command of the codes and requirements of prestige brands through to full control of building works execution.

Principles

Four principles that guide our work.

Krapted’s purpose is expressed through four key principles.

(01)Beauty

Beauty as a goal

On every project, we seek the beauty of detail and the presence of the place. This is what prestige brands come to us for.

(02)Craftsmanship

Craftsmanship as a foundation

We are driven by expertise, technical mastery and the quality of craftsmanship, delivered by our in-house teams and our network of partners. Each one is selected for the quality of their work.

(03)Client

The client as our compass

Our development follows that of our clients. Wherever they open, we follow: Paris, Milan, London, Lisbon, New York, Tokyo. Always with the same team and the same standard.

(04)Savoir-être

Know-how as an ethic

To respect our clients’ wishes, we sign a confidentiality agreement before any exchange of plans, and we never communicate without the client’s approval. The requirement for impeccable conduct, throughout the entire client journey, is the essence of the Krapted signature.

What sets us apart

How Krapted stands apart.

Seven structural choices that set our approach apart from the French general contracting market.

The standard market

  • Opaque subcontracting of trades

  • Point of contact that changes depending on the phase

  • Approximate quote, changes during the works

  • Commercial schedule seen as a variable

  • Open communication on completed projects

  • Handover of works at your expense

  • End of site works upon handover

Krapted

  • Networks of qualified partner craftsmen, and transparency

  • A single senior project manager, from brief to handover

  • Firm financial commitment upon completion of the studies

  • Client schedule treated as a fixed constraint

  • Total discretion, NDA signed before any exchange

  • Full handling of post-delivery touch-ups

  • Structured post-handover follow-up

Vision

To become the long-term partner of prestige brands.

Krapted aims for a precise position: to be the first partner prestige brands call on for their spaces. Renovation is the entry point; the vision goes further: to provide long-term support for their building-related needs, from works to maintenance and site services, so they can focus on their core businesses (fashion, F&B, etc.). The model is based on the synergy of client needs, by providing all non-strategic services so they can pursue their guiding principle.
